Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, and Premier of the Chinese State Council, Wen Jiabao, have signed an agreement to form a Qatari-Sino committee for investment cooperation between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of China; a memorandum of understanding on forests, combating desertification and the protection of wild animals and plants between the Qatari Ministry of Environment and Chinese Forest Service; a Memorandum of understanding between Qatar Central Bank and the People’s Bank of China.

Qatar and China have conducted fruitful cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, trade, culture and so on. China attaches great importance to its relations with Qatar.
